Neutral Zone Prescription Platform

Recommendations
- Use as a tool to assist biomechanical assessment and prescription writing
- Allows you to quantify the components and correction needed
- Designed to be used by medical practitioners to assist in the formulation of a prescription for an orthotic device
Features
- Biomechanical assessment tool to assist in the prescription of orthotic devices
- Allows objective testing of proposed orthotic device prescriptions
- Practical and functional
- Cost saving by reducing prescription errors
- Adjustable shoe pitch gradient
Functions
- This tool allows you to quantify the prescription needed, to allow a person to function within their neutral zone
- It allows you to trial the effect of your proposed components
- Whilst standing on a correctly adapted platform the patient normally should be:
- Standing in their optimal anatomical position (STJ Neutral).
- Able to pronate and supinate the foot within their neutral zone.
- Able to dorsiflex the hallux and plantarflex the 1st ray
Limitations of use
- In-shoe heel stabilisation is not replicated. Patients presenting with hypermobility can be strapped to further simulate the in-shoe environment and stabilise the rearfoot complex before assessment. This will avoid over correction of your patient.
- Will not compensate for pathologies or presenting features which are evident during gait and not in standing.
